Hey everyone!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and I hope you dads out there got spoilt for Father's Day 2014! I wanted to make Brad's Father's day extra special, so tried to put some thought into what I (I mean the boys), were going to get him this year!
First off we had a little photoshoot to show daddy just how much the boys love him:
Then I made sure everything was ready for daddy to open, including this fab twin card I bought at Card Factory for 99p! I really wanted to find a twin specific card, so was pretty chuffed when I spotted this, there were other 'from both of us' cards, but this one stood out to me the most:
We had a lovely day, and I was FINALLY able to give Brad the gifts we bought him, which included a trip to Brighton - the best gifts are the ones that also include yourself in them! ;) But in all seriousness, we really do deserve a couple of days holiday after coping with the arrival of the twins and 6 months later moving house from our own place into my parents house (to save money), we could really do with a bit of space, even for a couple of days. We haven't had a holiday in years, and it would be too much of a struggle to take the boys abroad right now. Brighton seems like the perfect place as neither of us drive so everything is in walking distance - I can't wait to blog about it and share our experience with you!
So here are the gifts I got Brad this year, they don't include the bottle of Whisky which quickly got stashed away in a cupboard:
I also made Brad a yummy Strawberry Pavlova, as I know that's one of his favourite desserts, and it's so easy to make. I'll add the recipe soon, you should definitely give it a try!
To top off a lovely day filled with gifts, dessert and a walk with the boys in their trikes, I watched as daddy spent some quality time with his little ones - something money can't buy! :)
Someone certainly enjoyed daddy's gifts (the Malteasers are already all gone!
I'd love to hear what you got up to for Father's day, leave me a comment below or link me to your blog!
Lots of love,
Samantha Dawn
xoxo
