Ladies of London Season 1 Episode 3 - Recap

I'm still trying to give Ladies of America, I mean London, a chance. I've read online that ratings are dwindling after the premiere went out in America, and to be honest I haven't found it -that- interesting. But if you read my blog, you'll know I'm a sucker for reality tv and so I have to watch it. You can read my other Reality TV recaps here.
I think to make it easier to recap my thoughts this episode, I'm just going to go through each person on the show and say how they came across to me in this episode.

L-R: Caroline, Julie, Juliet, Caprice, Annabelle, Noelle

Juliet- I have to say she is a bit much, and I'm not saying that as a stuck up English person, and I don't dislike her, but I think she does need to calm it down a bit. I did find when Juliet was butting in on Annabelle and her friends conversation it did come across as being a bit rude and annoying, however I do feel that was probably more the editing, and also Annabelle is so rude she was ignoring Juliet at the table and so in a way it was good Juliet pee'd her off a bit! The only thing I would say that was really negative about Juliet this episode was the fact she didn't help out at all with Julie's party, yet still took the credit that it was both of their party. Also, Caroline was right, those shorts were pretty awful!

Annabelle - Ugh, where do I begin? I just want to say that I'm really hoping that American's don't think all of us Brits are as stuck up and nasty as this woman is. I love how she thinks she's so rebellious (which basically means she's just rude), and all she keeps dropping in is her aristocratic family, and her BFF Alexander McQueen, and how she was his muse, blah blah blah. Maybe she's just insecure really, she's got all these 'links' to people and her families links, but she doesn't really appear to do anything herself or have any skills. Now she's trying to race a horse and
help someone, take the credit for someone else's fashion as she has nothing else to offer the show. Zzzz boring!

Caroline - I have a love/hate experience when I watch Caroline. I love her look (minus the over-plumped lips), and I enjoy watching her life which seems so luxurious; however I think if I met her in real life I'd be offended by everything she said and just not like her. Again, she is another 'Brit' that makes us all look bitchy and mean, and we aren't all like that! I can't emphasise how much I hate the way the only two British women on the show who aren't a true representation of us British ladies! Sigh. I did like that she sided with Juliet over Annabelle though!

Caprice -  So in these episodes Caprice comes across as though she is such a huge UK celebrity. I'll be honest, I don't even remember reading about or seeing her in the press or on TV in a long time, and even then I wasn't interested! She seems extremely desperate for more fame, and that makes me wonder if she's struggling a bit. I hate when she goes running after Annabelle at the party, without even listening to Juliet. It's clear she values Annabelle's friendship and probably thinks it's better being friends with her because a) she's English, and b) she's got connections.

Noelle - Zzzz - did she even do anything in this episode? She needs to go!

Julie - Julie threw a great party, and I love how her and her husband are together, they seem really sweet. I don't know why but I do see a bit of a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Taylor Armstrong - a desperate woman, wanting to fit in to a place that she doesn't really feel she belongs. Although I don't think Julie is as crazy as Taylor was!

All in all the episode was pretty tame, aside from the disagreement between Juliet and Annabelle, which again wasn't that exciting, nothing really happened!

Hopefully next week's episode will be a bit more exciting... We'll see!

Lots of love,

Samantha Dawn
